Responsible for maintaining all assigned areas and equipmentin sanitary condition.QUALIFICATIONSMinimum completion of Grade Ten (10) requiredExperience in maintaining a clean and sanitaryfood service environmentKnowledge and ability to operate and cleaninstitutional equipmentWorking knowledge of WHMIS legislationAbility to attend work on a regular andconsistent basisWorking knowledge of therapeutic dietaryrequirements of geriatric residents preferredGeneral DutiesResponsiblefor all components of meal service to assigned areas, as outlined in thejob routinePreparedand assembles special trays, beverages and food according to job routineCountsand replenishes stock items as requiredMaintainsa clean work areaReportsall necessary repairs and equipment malfunctionsResponsibleto ensure all dietary requirements are adhered toEnsuresall food handling and HACPP procedures are followedCleansall equipment, dishes, pots & pans and areas assigned, according toguidelinesFollowsall WHMIS guidelines when using and dispensing chemicalsReceives,stores and rotates food and supplies as requiredConductsinventory of supplies and products as requiredPerforms other related duties as requiredOcean View Continuing Care Centre OffersFree Parking& on Bus RouteComprehensiveOrientationA supportivework environmentSalaryRangeIn accordance with current collective agreement between Ocean View Continuing Care Centre and C.U.P.E.
