Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Video, Audio, and Film Transfer Technician to join our creative team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming analog media formats—including film, video tapes, and audio—into high-quality digital files suitable for editing, archiving, and distribution. Your expertise will ensure the preservation of valuable media assets while maintaining the highest standards of quality and technical precision.

Duties

- Convert analog media formats such as cine film reels, video tapes, and audio cassettes, into digital files using specialized transfer equipment.
- Operate professional editing software including Adobe Premiere to enhance and restore media content.
- Utilize image editing tools like Adobe Photoshop.
- Work with Adobe Audition to edit and clean up audio.
- Manage color correction, noise reduction, stabilization, and other post-transfer adjustments to ensure optimal quality.
- Maintain detailed records of all media transfers, including metadata documentation for easy retrieval and archival purposes.




- Troubleshoot technical issues related to transfer hardware or software to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with team members on project workflows to meet deadlines while ensuring media integrity.

Experience

- Proven experience working with various media transfer equipment and digital conversion processes.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications such as Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, After Effects, InDesign, and Illustrator.
- Knowledge of film handling procedures and preservation techniques is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control during transfer and restoration processes.
- Ability to follow technical instructions precisely while maintaining flexibility in a agile environment.
- Prior experience in media archiving or digital preservation is a plus.

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
