Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Welder/Fitter to join our custom manufacturing company serving the hydro and automotive industries. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality products, ensuring all work meets safety standards and technical specifications. The position would be Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4:00 pm.

Responsibilities

- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and assembly processes
- Perform MIG-Hardwire/Metal Core welding to join metal parts accurately and to meet CWB Standards
- Use saws, hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components
- Conduct rigging tasks for lifting and positioning heavy materials safely using cranes or forklifts
- Measure materials precisely using imperial tape measures, and other measuring devices to ensure proper fit
- Assemble structural components, or machinery parts according to specifications
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during fabrication or assembly processes




- Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times

Skills

- Ability to pass CWB weld test
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and schematics interpretation
- Experience with rigging, crane operation, machining, and assembly processes
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Ability to read technical schematics and schematics related to manufacturing projects
- Previous experience or manufacturing background preferred
- Certification in forklift operation is a plus but not required
- Excellent attention to detail when using precision measurement tools
- Ability to follow safety guidelines rigorously while working with heavy machinery or welding equipment

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
