Summary

The Warehouse and Yard attendant is responsible for various tasks involved in the efficient operation of the warehouse and outdoor yard area.

Key Responsibilities

- Loading and unloading goods:

o Safely and efficiently moving material and supplies within warehouse and yard area. Involves operating forklifts, pallet jacks and other machinery.
- Inventory Management:

o Receiving, inspecting and organizing incoming shipments. This includes accurately recording and tracking inventory levels, as well as conducting stock checks.
- Order Fulfillment:

o Picking and packing items according to operations orders. Also prepare orders for shipment and/or pickup, including packing and labeling.
- Yard Duties:

o Maintaining outdoor areas, such as keeping the yard clean and assisting with yard inventory management.
- Documentation and record-keeping:

o Managing paperwork such as inventory, invoices, shipping documents, PO's to ensure accurate records
- Cross-functional collaboration:





o Collaborate with other team members, such as logistics and operations to ensure smooth workflow and meet overall organizational goals
- Utilizing logistics software:

o Utilize software to request delivery of materials
- Continuous improvement:

o Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency enhancements in warehouse operations
- Safety and Maintenance:

o Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that all safety procedures are followed. Includes proper storage of material, equipment maintenance, and reporting safety concerns or incidents
- Other duties as required.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Certifications

- Valid driver's license (Class 5).
- Own transportation required.
- Forklift certification or willing to obtain

Work Experience

- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment

Technical Skills

- Physical fitness: heavy lifting, prolonged standing and physically demanding tasks
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Teamwork and communication
- Safety conscious
- Microsoft office and ability to navigate internal computer systems

This is a Monday to Friday seasonal position working 8 hours per day. There may be occassional overtime.
