The OpportunityAs a member of the FSQA team, the FSQA Specialist is accountable for the execution of the HACCP system, Food Safety and Quality Assurance programs. The role drives continuous improvement in a fast‑paced environment, establishes and maintains positive relationships with regulatory bodies, and serves as a key member of the facility management teams.Base salary: $59,000 – $87,000 CAD annually (may vary based on experience, skills, and other factors).Snapshot of a Day‑in‑the‑LifeEnsures the HACCP system and prerequisite programs are current and compliant with SFCR and other regulations.Provides technical guidance on HACCP, BRC, and Food Safety to production staff.Audits, monitors, schedules, verifies, and validates program results.Executes initiatives to improve product quality and safety through data‑driven decisions.Tracks and trends critical safety and quality data for continuous improvement.Executes Hold and Release Program in SAP.Acts as point of contact for CFIA, responding to SIP tasks and assisting inspectors.Investigates complaints, prepares responses, and manages non‑compliance reports.Maintains and updates BRC and food safety programs, SOPs, and risk assessments.Provides corrective actions and follow‑up based on deviations, customer complaints, or audits.Supports and leads internal and external audits (BRC, CFIA, customer‑requested).Assists with recent product launches and HACCP plan updates.Trains, coaches,
