Prior experience working in a shelter is an asset. This role is crucial to ensuring the safety and well‑being of our residents, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a strong presence, the ability to handle stressful situations, and an unwavering commitment to maintaining a secure environment.ResponsibilitiesMonitor facility access: control entry to the shelter, verify identification, and maintain logs.Conflict resolution: address and de‑escalate disputes between residents, guests, or staff, while maintaining order.Emergency response: respond promptly to medical, fire, security, or other emergencies and assist with evacuations if needed.Safety & security patrols: conduct regular patrols of the building and surrounding areas to prevent theft, vandalism, or other criminal activity.
