Freson Bros., an Alberta-owned and operated fresh food retail chain, invites experienced retail operators to apply for the Deli & Restaurant Program Specialist position. Based out of the Freson Bros. Operations Office in Stony Plain, this position provides leadership to Store Deli teams and develops retail deli programs for implementation across all 16 locations.Qualifications:3+ years of experience in restaurant management, culinary operations, or food-retail store managementRed Seal Chef certification preferredDemonstrated expertise in recipe development, menu R&D, and standardizing hot food programs across multi-unit operationsStrong background in culinary operations, including food safety compliance, waste management, and workflow optimizationPassionate about driving exceptional hospitality and coaching teams to elevate the experienceDeep operational knowledge of restaurant P&L, inventory control, labor optimization, and SOP executionExceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead and collaborate across deli & restaurant teamsProven ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office and Google SuiteAbility to work in-office and travel to store locations across Alberta (60–80%)Willingness to assist stores hands-on through peak food-retail periodsValid Class 5 Driver's License (or equivalent) requiredMost importantly, the willingness and enthusiasm for continuous learning and development.Roles & Responsibilities:Assist the Deli Director with product and program initiatives, including menu & recipe development, admin etcCollaborate with store Deli teams to develop competitive food programsOversee and maintain company-wide Deli & Restaurant proceduresConduct regular store visits to ensure operational compliance and offer supportDevelop employee training programs for proper food production methodsUphold food safety standards and continuously improve training processesMonitor key metrics: production costs, labor utilization, and program outcomesSupport store Deli teams to:Meet sales, budget, productivity, and shrink targetsManage daily operations and resolve inventory issuesExecute product recall protocolsReport directly to the Deli DirectorPosition Details:Position Type: Full TimeWork Environment: In-Person, Stony Plain Operations OfficeTravel: 60-80% (company vehicle provided and expenses covered)Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 per annumFreson Bros.
