Insight Global is looking for a Backend Developer to join a leading wealth management client supporting the continued buildout of a digital advisor portal. This initiative is a high-priority, enterprise-wide effort focused on delivering new features and enhancing the overall advisor and client experience.This individual will play a key role in backend development, working closely with engineering, product, and architecture teams to design and deliver scalable services that support onboarding, investment products, and advisor workflows. The environment is highly collaborative and fast-paced, with a solid emphasis on modern cloud-native development using AWS.This role is a short term (3 month) initial contract with the opportunity for conversion to full time employment and high likelihood of extensions based on performance.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain backend services using Node.Js in a cloud-native environmentDevelop and manage infrastructure using AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit)Contribute to the ongoing enhancement and expansion of a digital advisor portal for wealth management clientsPartner with cross-functional teams (product, UX, frontend, architecture)



to deliver new features end-to-endBuild scalable APIs and microservices to support client onboarding, account management, and investment workflowsEnsure high performance, security, and reliability of backend systemsParticipate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD processesTroubleshoot and resolve production issues as neededRequired Skills and Experience5+ years of backend development experienceStrong hands‐on experience with Node.JsExperience building and deploying infrastructure using AWS CDKDeep understanding of AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB/S3, etc.)Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices architectureFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practicesStrong understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimizationNice to Have Skills and ExperienceExperience in wealth management or financial servicesExposure to advisor platforms or digital onboarding flowsExperience with TypeScriptFamiliarity with authentication/authorization (IAM, OAuth, etc.)Experience working in agile environments
