Position Summary

The Town of Milton is accepting applications for the part-time position of Concession Attendant. This position is responsible for food preparation, serving customers and other duties related to the operation of concessions. There are two locations: Milton Sports Centre and Sherwood Community Centre. The Town is looking for dynamic, responsible individuals able to work in a fast paced work environment that possess excellent customer service skills.

Major Job Responsibilities

- Perform a wide range of duties related to the operation of a food concession
- Emphasis on food preparation, serving customers and maintaining a sanitary work area
- Perform cash handling functions, inventory and restocking of supplies
- Must be able to lift up to 25lbs
- Follow procedures for the opening and/or closing of concessions
- Provide excellent customer service
- Maintain equipment in an organized and clean manner
- Complete all inventory functions/reports
- Assist in planning and delivery of concessions during special events
- Comply with all health and safety practices as it relates to the work,



standard operating guidelines and the Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

- Minimum grade 10 education
- Must possess strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team, with minimal supervision in a fast pace work environment
- Experience using POS is an asset
- Preference will be given to those with food preparation or cash handling experience; Safe Food Handlers Certification is an asset
- Successful candidates will be required to provide a criminal records check with vulnerable sector screening dated within 6 months as a condition of employment
