_ About the Role

The Head of Enterprise Data Platforms is accountable for Virgin Media Ireland’s enterprise data strategy, architecture, modelling, governance and operational services. The role owns the delivery, support and continuous evolution of all enterprise data, reporting and analytics platforms, providing trusted, secure and scalable foundations for reporting, digital products, applications, advanced analytics and AI.



Acting as custodian of enterprise data foundations, the role establishes common models, standards and controls while enabling AI Solutions Architecture & Engineering, Applications & Platform Engineering and Business Insights Reporting teams to deliver analytics, machine learning and AI solutions through a clear federated operating model. Specific Duties & Tasks

Enterprise Data Strategy, Architecture & Modelling

Define and execute the enterprise data strategy and multi-year roadmap aligned to business and technology priorities. Set enterprise data architecture principles andmaintainconceptual,logicaland physical data models, commondefinitionsand reusable data products. Drive modern architecture patterns across cloud data warehouses, data lakes,lake houses, streaming,APIsand data products. Platform Engineering, Reporting & Operations

Own the engineering, operation, resilience, security, performanceand cost management of all enterprise data, reporting and analytics platforms. Lead data warehouses, data lakes, pipelines, ETL/ELT,integrationand semantic services, supported by clear service levels and continuous improvement. Enable trusted reporting, self-service analytics, machinelearningand AI through certified,discoverableand scalable data services. Data Governance, Quality & Leadership

Lead enterprise data governance, ownership, stewardship, metadata, lineage,qualityand lifecycle management. Ensure compliance with privacy, cybersecurity, regulatory and riskrequirementsand chair relevant governance forums. Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams and manage strategic suppliers, investment,budgetsand delivery outcomes. Collaboration & Enablement

Business Insights Reporting Teams

Provide certified data products, commonmetricsand reusable datasets; enable business-led reporting, analytics, machinelearningand AI whilemaintainingstandards for governance, quality,securityand reuse.This should be done across a number of business functions in Virgin Media Ireland including Customer Support, Commercial, Wholesale,



Finance and the CEO office. AI Solutions Architecture & Engineering

Provide governed data products, featuredatasetsand semantic models; partner on AI-ready architecture, machine learningoperationalization, responsible AI controls and model lifecycle requirements. Applications & Platform Engineering

Partner on application integration,APIsand shared data services; provide modellingexpertiseand enable secure data publication and consumption across BSS and OSS platforms and digital channels. Skills & Expertise

Senior leadership experience across enterprise data engineering, architecture, modelling, governance,reportingand analytics platforms. Proven delivery and operation of large-scale cloud data ecosystems, including Snowflake and GoogleBigQuery; experiencewith Databricks and Azure data services isadvantageous. Strongexpertisein conceptual,logicaland physical modelling, data warehousing,lake housearchitectures, ETL/ELT, real-time and event-driven integration, APIs, metadata, lineage, masterdataand data quality. Experience enabling machine learning, AI-ready architectures and advanced analytics, including governed datasets, featureengineeringand modeloperationalization. Working knowledge of SQL, Python, contemporary data engineering frameworks, BI and semantic modelling platforms, security, privacy, regulatorycontrolsand cloud FinOps. Track record of leading multidisciplinary teams, strategic partnersand complex transformation roadmaps, with strong executive communication and commercial judgement. The Person
