Start Date: As Soon As PossibleNature & Scope of Position:The Dispatcher is responsible for maintaining communication with customers and drivers in order to organize and keep track of all the daily operations. This individual is tasked with scheduling and dispatching crews, equipment for delivery of freight or other services rendered outside the place of business. They will interact with customers and respond to all inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner.



The Dispatcher will work in conjunction with the rest of the dispatch team locally and in other branches to improve efficiencies. This position will report to the Terminal Manager in this location.Duties & Responsibilities:The Dispatcher's duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:Develop a culture of safety, professionalism and service excellence in all areas of operationsPlan and manage employee work schedules to service commitment requirementsCoordinate equipment in order to meet requirements for daily operations; work closely with fleetmaintenance supervisor to address equipment deficiencies Be aware of all the employee activities in the regionDevelop a thorough understanding of enterprise system, satellite tracking, and other applicable applicationsMaintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Federal and Provincial transportation requirementsSkills & Experience:Minimum three (3) years dispatching experience LTL-T/L-general freight industrySome Class 1 driving experience is an asset, but not requiredKnowledgeable about the Hours of Service regulationsStrong interpersonal skills and leadershipKnowledge of BC / AB geographyProficient reading, writing and speaking EnglishComputer and presentation skillsHighly organized and able to multi-task in a fast paced environmentRemunerations:Salary will be based on skills and experience; and
