The OpportunityReporting to the Environmental Services Manager, the Environmental Services Assistant performs routine repairs and minor maintenance while delivering excellent customer service to residents.What You Will DoPerform routine repairs and minor maintenance on building systems, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing equipmentComplete painting, minor carpentry, and exterior grounds maintenance (excluding contracted services)Conduct regular inspections of the premises to ensure maintenance and safety standards are met; report findings to the supervisorFollow established facility policies and procedures, including safety protocols and safe work practicesFulfill housekeeping and maintenance duties as required while performing handyman responsibilitiesWork in a position of trust with vulnerable adult residentsUphold and promote the organization's values, including ethics, integrity, and professionalism, as outlined in the Code of ConductPerform other duties as assignedWhat You BringAbility to follow oral and written instructions in EnglishStrong ability to work independently and self-manage tasksPhysically capable of performing job duties, including lifting and moving heavy objectsExperience with minor repairs to facilities and equipmentWorking knowledge of plumbing, electrical, heating, water, gas, mechanical systems, plastering, and paintingAbility to manage and track budgets, including recording work completed and associated costsKnowledge of health and safety practicesMust provide a current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check, including a Criminal Background Check,
