We are looking for a hard-working Accounting Officer to join our dynamic team.This is a hands-onposition and the individual will be exposed to various aspects of a private mortgage lending company. You will be responsible forworking within a dynamic team.Duties and ResponsibilitiesReconciling bank statements and general ledgersCompile and distribute daily management reportsCompliance reportingfor lenders and regulatorsPrepare monthly financial statements and consolidated financial statementsPrepare ad hoc reporting as requested by management or investorsCash receipt entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable and account reconciliationsInternal department queries and problem solvingCalculate monthly loan payments, verify third partycalculationsand resolve any discrepanciesReview borrower loan statementsOther accounting duties that management mayrequireSkills Knowledge & ExperienceRelevant university degree or college diploma combined with two years of work experienceThorough knowledge ofgenerally acceptedaccounting principles, policies and procedures and budgeting methodsDetail orientated,



with excellent organizational and follow up skillsAbility to produce and manage daily management reporting requirementsAbility to manage multiple projects,activitiesand tasks simultaneously.Strong oral and written communication skillsEnergetic team player with ability to work independentlyProficient toadvancedin Excel and proficient in Microsoft WordKnowledge of Netsuite and/or Mortgage Automator is an assetThe ideal candidate will show a keen interest in learning and an ongoing desire to improve the timeliness and efficiency of the financial reporting processes.
