Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing transactions efficiently, and supporting store operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, organisational abilities, and a positive attitude to ensure a welcoming shopping experience for all customers.

Responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly and assist with their enquiries in person and over the phone
- Operate the cash register accurately, handling cash, card payments, and refunds
- Upsell products and promote ongoing promotions to maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain organised merchandising displays and ensure the store remains tidy and inviting
- Provide information about products, services, and store policies effectively
- Manage queues efficiently during busy periods to minimize wait times
- Support stock replenishment and organize stockroom areas as needed
- Handle customer complaints professionally and elevate issues when necessary
- Able to stand for long periods of time




- Able to bend, lifting required up to 20kgs or 50 lbs

Requirements

- Excellent communication skills in English
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Good time management to ensure smooth store operations during shifts
- Phone etiquette skills for professional customer interactions over the phone
- Experience in merchandising or retail is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Ability to work well within a team and independently when required
- Organised, reliable, with a positive attitude towards customer service
