We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) specializing in Product Development and Engineering to join our dynamic team.This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who wants ownership over their work, not just a task list. You'll be developing current products, refining existing ones, and mentoring our Engineer-in-Training, all while working closely with ownership in a small company where decisions happen fast and your input actually shapes the outcome.ResponsibilitiesLead development of new products and continuous improvement of existing product lines in accordance with applicable standards and practicesMentor and supervise one (1) Engineer-in-Training, supporting their path toward licensureCreate and maintain CAD models for all products and componentsDesign and build prototypes and test rigs; run and monitor producttesting, including FEA and physical load testingCollaborate with contractors as required to fill gaps in knowledge bases and support project deliveryEnsure organization and accuracy of drawing files, BOMs, installation guides,



and technical documentationSupport proposal documents and site plans for private customer and public projectsCreate product and site installation renderings as requiredSupport internal continuous improvement projects as requiredTake on other responsibilities as priorities shift; this is a growing company, and the role will evolve to meet changing needsRequired QualificationsLicensed P.Eng. (or eligible for licensure with Engineers Nova Scotia)Strong CAD and mechanical design skills; experience with Solidworks requiredComfortable owning a project from concept through testing to documentationA mentoring mindset, genuinely invested in developing the EIT, not just supervising on paperA team-first attitude: someone who pitches in where needed and doesn't clock-watch when something needs to get doneComfortable in a small-company environment: wearing multiple hats, working directly with ownership, and adapting as priorities shiftPreferred QualificationsInterest in fitness and exercise is an assetExperience in 3D rendering & Solidworks Visualizer Pro is an assetWe're a tight-knit, growing team, and the work doesn't always follow a predictable rhythm.
