If you enjoy working as part of a team to create, produce, test, and improve parts, we have the opportunity for you.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for programming, setup and operation of EDM and CNC machining equipmentReviewing designs and verifying tooling requirements prior to each jobWorking closely with engineers and designers to ensure and improve part machinabilityOperating multiple CNC milling and EDM machines at a time to meet workorder deadlinesResponsible for the EDM and/or manual machining of complex & fabricated components with various metalsWork at a sustained pace and produce quality workEnsure equipment maintenance program is maintained and all safety measures and requirements are metResponsible for requesting quotes,
creating purchase requests and receiving of materialsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of 3 years related experienceAble to read and accurately interpret shop drawings and 3D CADAbility to set up and operate CNC Mills and EDM machinesExperience with Fusion CAM, MastercamAble to select and use the appropriate precision measuring instruments to ensure components are machined to specified tolerances and surface finishes as indicated on prints, shop drawings, charts and tablesStrong communication skills, with a positive team spiritStrong safety-related skills and knowledgeAble to work with minimum supervisionMust be fluent in English, spoken and writtenPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience with Haas and Fanuc machines an assetWorking with Smarter AlloysWe are a small, innovative and rapid-moving company that is on the cutting edge of the smart materials industry.
