A private family in Markham is seeking a dependable and caring nanny to provide full-time care for one toddler in the family home.Position: Nanny – TEER 44100Work location: Private residence in Markham, OntarioTerms: Permanent, full-time; 30 hours per week;Monday to Friday (2:30PM to 8:30PM)Wage: $20.00 per hour | 1 vacancyDuties and ResponsibilitiesAssume full responsibility for the child during the parents’ absence and maintain a secure, healthy and nurturing home environment.Supervise and care for the child, including bathing, dressing, feeding, diaper changes and age-appropriate toilet training.Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for the child and follow the family’s established meal and nap routines.Organize age-appropriate activities such as reading, games, crafts, outdoor play and local community programs.Support the child’s emotional, social, physical and intellectual development; teach appropriatehygiene and social behaviour.Follow the parents’ instructions regarding routines, behaviour guidance and childcare preferences.Accompany the child to appointments, parks, playgroups, lessons and other activities when required.Perform light housekeeping duties directly related to the child, including the child’s laundry, dishes,



toys and play areas.Maintain daily information about the child’s meals, naps, activities and general well-being and communicate regularly with the parents.Care for the child during minor illness and respond appropriately to emergencies in accordance with the parents’ directions.QualificationsCompletion of secondary school.At least one year of childcare, nanny or caregiver experience is required; experience caringfor infants or toddlers is preferred.Childcare training and First Aid and CPR certification are assets but are not mandatory.Ability to communicate independently in English; must be dependable, patient, organized and attentive to the child’s needs.Benefits and Working ConditionsPrivate emergency medical insurance during any period in which the employee is not covered by provincial health insurance.Vacation pay in accordance with Ontario employment standards.This is not a mandatory live-in position.
