The position will also pack and deliver orders to the Thrift Store or to The Mustard Seed's Community Impact Centres. As this position interacts directly with donors and volunteers, the Donation Centre Associate and Driver is responsible for providing a positive experience for all who visit The Mustard Seed.Employment Type: Full time, PermanentSchedule: Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.M. to 4:30 p.M.Reporting to: Warehouse and Thrift Store ManagerCity: EdmontonNumber of Positions to Fill: 1RFR #: 2296MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Receive incoming donations, screening and sorting items according to quality standards and with reference to program & Thrift Store needsPack orders and deliver to the Thrift Store and Pack orders and deliver to the Thrift Store, Community Impact Centres, and SheltersPick up items from partnering businesses and organizationsCommunicate the story of The Mustard Seed's ministry and develop rapport, through intentional interactions with volunteers and donorsGuide individual volunteers and volunteer groups with sorting and packing donations along with other dutiesMaintain accurate reporting of donations, inventory, and outgoing itemsContribute and execute on creative ideas to improve donor relations, goods stewardship,



and process efficiencyProvide occasional coverage at The Thrift Store; Training will be providedMaintain cleanliness of the warehouse and its perimeter to ensure a safe workplaceParticipate in all staff training (e.G. First Aid, Safe TALK, NVCI) and attend meetings with supervisorOther duties as may be assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLSExperience driving a transit vanProficiency in Microsoft office programs, specifically data entry is an assetExcellent organizational skills and ability to support front-line programsKnowledge of designer labels, collectibles, and seasonal trends is an assetStrong communication, customer service, problem solving, and conflict resolution skillsThis role requires strong interpersonal skills, as it involves frequent engagement with individual volunteers, volunteer groups, and colleagues across various departmentsA self-starter with the ability to work in a cross-functional team and direct volunteer groups including those with diverse needs and abilities as requiredExperience working in a volunteer-based organization is considered an assetPassionate about participating in a Christian organization focused on supporting people living in povertyPossession of a valid Class 5 driver's license, and clean driver's abstract.WORKING CONDITIONSAs The Mustard Seed is a Christian Ministry,
