Position: Kitchen Helper

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Wage: $18.25 per hour, 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

- Wash, peel, cut and prepare vegetables and fruits, other ingredients used in preparing burritos, tacos, quesadillas and bowls.
- Assist cooks and kitchen staff with basic food preparation and other routine kitchen tasks.
- Receive, unpack and store food supplies and ingredients in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and designated storage areas.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen work surfaces, preparation tables, cupboards, appliances, equipment and food storage areas.
- Remove kitchen garbage and waste, clean garbage containers and maintain cleanliness in kitchen area.
- Sweep, mop and clean kitchen floors to maintain a clean and sanitary working environment.
- Follow food safety, sanitation,



hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.

Employment Requirements

- No prior work experience is required; training will be provided.
- No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment and under pressure.
- Ability to remain standing for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including daytime, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Ability to work in a hot and physically demanding kitchen environment.
