Join Armco Capital Inc. as a Senior Accountant in Halifax, Nova Scotia. You will prepare essential financial information for strategic decision-making and operational planning.
This role reports to the Controller and requires three to five years of progressive accounting experience. You'll engage in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes, including financial statement preparation, budgeting, and auditing. Collaboration with Finance team members and stakeholders is key to ensuring accurate financial information.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting tasks
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations promptly
• Maintain general ledger accounts and review financial transactions




• Analyze financial results and prepare project cost reports
• Support the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in finance or accounting
• 3-5 years of financial reporting experience
• Knowledge of ASPE for financial statements
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Solid analytical and organizational skills
