Adams Lake Indian Band is seeking one casual on call Civil Construction and Heavy Equipment Operator to work under the direction of the Adams Lake Band's Director of Infrastructure.DUTIES INCLUDE:Operating a backhoe/excavator and other heavy equipment as requiredWorking in conjunction with the teamWorking on Civil and Commercial projects as necessaryCircle checks and maintenance of equipmentCritical thinking and problem solving with limited supervisionEnsuring secure working practices for self, and others including Community membersQUALIFICATIONS,



KNOWELDGE AND SKILLSMust have a minimum of 10 Years demonstrated experience on an ExcavatorMust have a minimum of 10 Years demonstrated experience on a DozerMust hold Telehandler Level 1 certificationMust have proven back hoe experienceCivil installation experience is requiredWHIMISWorking Knowledge of WorkSafeAppropriate and valid driving/operating licensesExperience with Laser LevelOCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (REQUIRED DOCUMENTS)Acceptable Criminal Record Check (Original)Drivers abstract with results acceptable to ALIBPreference may be given to ALIB band members and individuals who self-identify as First Nation, Inuit, or Indigenous ancestry.
