The Production Accountant will be based at Sinopec Canada’s head office in Calgary, Alberta. Primary Purpose of Position Reporting to the Manager, Production Accounting, the Production Accountant is responsible for completing all production accounting requirements for assigned operated and non-operated properties. You have extensive knowledge of current industry and government practices and possess the technical skills required to gather, process, and report information.



Roles and Responsibilities Prepare all regulatory reports and meet reporting deadlines. Liaise with field staff, Measurement, and the Engineering Department regarding issues that may affect production. Determine crude oil and natural gas splits as required. Record monthly revenues and royalty obligations and code third-party fees for the JV Department. Ensure freehold and gross overriding royalties are calculated correctly. Resolve AER reporting compliance issues while working with the Measurement Department on the EPAP, CAR, and PAD government reports. Maintain familiarity with property schematics to ensure the proper setup of properties in the production accounting system. Prepare monthly
