and stationary enginesMust be knowledgeable and show a proficient ability to troubleshootCommunicate any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries in a timely manner to the supervisor in order to facilitate prompt correction or reportingDemonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively with colleagues and other departmentsDiagnose defects in heavy duty equipmentParticipate in maintaining a high standard of safetyAssist in all vehicle and equipment maintenance projects and work with contractors as requiredOperate all fleet vehicles in order to evaluate the results of previously performed maintenanceComplete work orders and projects as assignedAccurate record keeping of regular inspections, maintenance, and projectsWork closely with Mountain Operations, Mechanical Services, Parts / Purchasing, and in cooperation with all other resort departmentsJob Requirements/Qualifications:Third or Fourth year HD Mechanic apprentice, actively enrolled in a training programMust have the ability to work outside in all weather conditionsMust possess accurate verbal and written communication skillsIntermediate to advanced skiing/snowboarding skills are an assetMust be able to lift 50 lbsAble to work supervised & unsupervisedAble to prioritize tasks for efficiencyValid Driver's license (class 5), a clean driving abstract and a clean 3-year claims experience letter provided from your insurance policy is required.Solid knowledge of truck and equipment safetyStrong knowledge of workplace safety requirements and proceduresFirst aid certificate an assetA police background check, from your home country or province, will be required upon commencement of employmentWork Schedule:7:00am - 5:30pm4 On/3 OffWage:Between $30.72 - $38.71 per hour depending on experience
