and lead interviews.Advise managers on recruitment strategies and labor market trends.Coordinate pre-employment checks and prepare employment offers.Ensure compliance with collective agreements when recruiting unionized employees.Develop and maintain partnerships with educational institutions, employment agencies, and other recruitment sources.Participate in job fairs and employer branding activities to promote Velan.Support the onboarding of new employees and ensure a positive candidate experience.Produce recruitment performance metrics and recommend process improvements.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of five (5) years of experience in talent acquisition, preferably in a manufacturing workplace.Experience recruiting both unionized and non-unionized employees.Experience recruiting skilled trades, production personnel, professionals, and management-level employees.Knowledge of collective agreements and applicable labor laws.Proficiency with recruitment tools, job posting platforms, and the Microsoft Office Suite.Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written.Excellent communication and influencing skills.Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities effectively.Customer service and results-oriented approach.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Demonstrated autonomy, initiative, and discretion.Ability to thrive in a dynamic manufacturing setting with a high volume of recruitment activity.Ability to build trusted relationships with managers, candidates, and external partners.Special ConditionsOccasional availability to participate in job fairs and recruitment activities outside regular working hours.Occasional travel between Velan sites, including the Montreal and Granby facilities, as required.
