Apprentice Parts Counterperson - TRP Parts StoreFull-time Regular Parts - Counter Edmonton, AB, CAALL IN ON A REWARDING CAREER AT INLANDJoin us at Inland Truck & Equipment and go ALL IN on a career that has it all.In this role you will split your time at our TRP Parts location in Edmonton East.THE OPPORTUNITYThe Parts Apprentice will be responsible for assisting customers and technicians in obtaining required parts and supplies under the supervision of a qualified parts journeyperson while fulfilling the education and training requirements of the apprenticeship.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESPromote sale of parts and accessories to all customers: walk-in, telephone or internal techniciansAchieves maximum customer satisfaction with superior customer service at all times to current and potential customersKeeps abreast of all new products and updates, continually upgrades trainingSafeguards company equipment at all timesProcures all parts required by customers or technicians as requestedRegisters all lost sales to aid in further development of inventory breadthPrepares parts invoices and credit notes for all counter sales and issues (charges) parts for all work ordersAssists when required to maintain stock levels and in the shipping and receiving of partsAssists Outside Parts Sales Representative in fulfilling customers' requirementsMaintains a clean and dust-free display and warehouse area as designated by managementUpdates parts related information on a regular basis and maintains files as requiredOperates a computer terminal to carry out day to day functions and requirementsConducts perpetual inventory cycle countsPerforms other duties and assignments as assigned by supervisorAttends meetings as requiredBecomes familiar with and complies with the company's Health & Safety ManualWHAT WE LOOK FORHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)Computer skills and experience preferredMust be willing to attend Apprenticeship Training (travel may be required) for a period of 3 weeks per year while working towards the Parts Person Certificate of Qualification.Working towards Parts Person Certificate of QualificationValid standard Driver's LicenceAbility to speak, read and write EnglishAbility to become forklift certifiedGood interpersonal/customer relations skillsMust be willing and able to work various shifts, possibly including weekendsCANADA PERKS PACKAGEOur employees receive a generous advantages package including:Extended Medical (including Vision)RRSPPaid Time OffOn-going training opportunitiesABOUT INLANDInland Truck & Equipment is an industry leader in the heavy-duty truck and equipment sales, service, and parts marketplace.
