54K-58KOur client is seeking an organized and analytical Production Coordinator / Production Planner to support manufacturing schedules, material availability and daily production flow.This position is suited to someone with previous production-planning or scheduling experience who can coordinate priorities across the shop floor, identify potential delays and ensure customer orders move through manufacturing efficiently and on schedule.Responsibilities include:Prepare and maintain production schedules based on customer requirements, available capacity and operational prioritiesCreate, release and monitor manufacturing work orders through the ERP/MRP systemCoordinate workflow and material movement between fabrication, assembly, quality, inventory and shippingMonitor production activity and address scheduling conflicts, material shortages and operational bottlenecksCommunicate daily priorities and schedule changes to production employees and department leadersExpedite time-sensitive orders and provide updates regarding delays or changing delivery requirementsMaintain accurate Bills of Materials, manufacturing routings, work instructions and production recordsWork with purchasing and supply chain teams to ensure materials and components are available when requiredSupport inventory control for raw materials, work in progress and finished goodsCoordinate with Quality Assurance to address non-conforming products and production-quality concernsTrack production results, including output, downtime, labour efficiency, scrap, cycle time and schedule attainmentPrepare reports covering production performance, capacity,



material availability and workflowParticipate in daily production meetings and provide updates on scheduling requirements and operational constraintsCoordinate the transfer of completed products into inventory and shippingSupport cycle counts, inventory audits and material-reconciliation activitiesAssist with new-product launches, engineering changes and production implementationCoordinate preventative-maintenance scheduling to reduce production interruptionsParticipate in Lean Manufacturing, waste-reduction and continuous-improvement initiativesEnsure production activities follow established quality, safety and operational proceduresQualificationsTwo to five years of experience in production planning, manufacturing scheduling or production coordinationPrevious experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentExperience creating and managing production schedules and manufacturing work ordersWorking knowledge of ERP or MRP systemsUnderstanding of Bills of Materials, production routings and inventory transactionsStrong organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and adjust quickly to changing production requirementsStrong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple departmentsProficiency with Microsoft Excel and production reportingCareful attention to detail and data accuracyAdditional AssetsExperience in automotive, aerospace, metal fabrication or custom manufacturingExperience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business CentralKnowledge of capacity planning and material-requirements planningAdvanced Excel and data-analysis capabilitiesFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous-improvement principlesExperience supporting current-product introductions or engineering changes
