About the Role Our client is seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Mine Operations Manager to lead their significant operations in Kimberley . This executive-level position is responsible for the overall management of all mining activities, ensuring that production targets are met safely, efficiently, and in accordance with environmental standards. You will provide strategic direction, manage budgets, and foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in complex mining environments and a deep understanding of operational best practices within the diamond mining industry .
Key Responsibilities Oversee all day-to-day mining operations, including production, maintenance, and safety.
Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve production and cost targets.
Manage the mine's budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and resource allocation.
Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of mine supervisors and personnel.
Liaise with stakeholders, including regulatory bodies,



community representatives, and senior management.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mine operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Demonstrated success in managing large-scale mining operations, preferably in Kimberley or similar geological settings.
Expert knowledge of mining methods, equipment, and operational best practices.
Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management.
