Job Title: English CopywriterDepartment: MarketingLocation: Montreal (YUL)Position Status: 12 Month Temporary ContractThe English Copywriter will be responsible for creating engaging copy that aligns with Air Canada Vacations' brand voice and company values at every touch point. The English copywriter also creates and proofreads marketing, promotional, UX and editorial copy for various departments across the company, including Marketing, Ecommerce, and more.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGBrainstorm and present campaign concepts to Marketing stakeholdersOversee copy and serve as a point of contact for assigned campaigns and initiatives to ensure a successful launchWrite copy for Air Canada Vacations campaigns (B2C & B2B), and marketing material including and not restricted to newsletters, web assets (landing pages, banners and more), flyers, brochures, etc.Participate in marketing campaign meetings with other key players to understand the company's expectations relating to marketing contentWork with the in-house marketing and graphic design team to develop creative conceptsWork with the Ecommerce team to write engaging, SEO-driven and user-friendly content for the webCollaborate with departments across the organization: gather context and requirements,



attend project meetings and ensure stakeholders' goals are metWrite or review editorial copy (print or blogs) when requestedReview marketing material, including material featuring the Air Canada Vacations brand produced by third partiesWrite copy in accordance with national and provincial advertising compliance standards, as well as Canadian Press Style Guide and ensure those standards are metUnderstand different language styles that appeal to various target marketsMaintain a explicit and consistent brand voiceStay in the know on marketing trends and competitors' marketing activities, as well as web writing best practicesOther ad hoc copywriting requestsWHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAMUndergraduate in Creative Writing, English, Communications, Journalism or equivalent2-3 years of copywriting experience, ideally in an eCommerce environmentExcellent communication and proofreading skillsExperience developing marketing conceptsAbility to balance technical and creative writingSuperior attention to detailAutonomous, able to multi-task and meet deadlinesStrong team playerExcellent grammar and spelling skills (knowledge of CP Style rules, a must)Advertising agency experience an assetTravel industry experience an assetUX and conversion copywriting experience an asset
