Are you organized, detail-oriented, and looking to start a career in logistics? Red Deer Resort & Casino is hiring a Part-time Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. In this role, you’ll manage the flow of goods, handle deliveries, and ensure inventory accuracy. Key Responsibilities:

- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness.
- Receive incoming food shipments and verify the quantity and quality of items against order forms or invoices.
- Safely store food items in designated storage areas such as refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage, following food safety guidelines.
- Prepare and pack outgoing shipments following established procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities.
- Collaborate with Hotel and Casino members to ensure on-time and accurate deliveries.
- Perform inventory management and stock replenishment tasks.
- Collaborate with kitchen and inventory staff to keep track of inventory levels and report any shortages or excesses.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Education, Qualification and Requirements:

- Prior experience in shipping and receiving operations preferred.
- Experience in food handling or stock management is an asset.
- Forklift certification is required




- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in shipping and receiving records.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy items.
- Flexibility to work occasional early mornings, evenings or weekends, as needed.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management.

Work Environment

- Able to stand and walk repeatedly over the course of a shift
- Ability to tolerate exposures to heat, cold and water
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, occasionally 30 to 50 pounds.
- While performing the duties of this job, there may be stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching and crouching

- Must be willing to wear personal protective equipment

Hours of Work

- The hours of work for this position will vary depending on operational requirements and may include day and evening, as well as weekends and holidays. The typical schedule is from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon (Monday to Friday), possible more hours during busy season.
