Administration Full Time BARRIE, ON $55,000 - $60,000 CAD per year

Working with all entities of the Busch Group of Companies, the Senior Accounting Specialist’s responsibilities consist of a wide variety of general accounting functions, including preparation of monthly and annual financial results. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of supporting documents for financial statements and other government reporting.

Replacing an existing position.

Key Responsibilities and Accountability:
Responsible for completion of month end close procedures for 1 or more companies
Support in financial analysis and contribute to budget preparation
Completion of year end working papers for multiple companies for external auditors
Bank and Credit Card reconciliation daily/monthly
Government Filings (Source, HST, WSIB, EHT, T4s and T4a’s)
Setup and maintenance of chart of accounts
Entry of all financial transactions, posting, journal entries and adjustments
Accounts Receivables and collections
Expense reporting
Accounts Payable and EFT/ACH Preparation
Daily cash receipts and bank deposits
Generate, review and approve tax slips (i.e. T4s, T4a’s)
Uploading Sales Invoices to Customer Portals
Provide back up for and report to the Accounting Manager
Other duties as required

Requirements:




Minimum 2-year diploma and 5+ Year Accounting Experience
Experience with Business Central would be an asset
Well-organized and able to balance competing demands
Expert with MS Office products (i.e. Excel, Word), QuickBooks, Microsoft Business Central (BC)
Demonstrate well-developed analytical and research skills, together with attention to detail.
Be committed to providing exceptional customer service.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
