Become a vital part of Pembroke Street Mental Health’s team as a Part time Addictions and Recovery Worker in Victoria, BC. This role involves providing essential non-medical withdrawal management care and support services to individuals facing substance misuse challenges.

Reporting to the Coordinator, the Addictions and Recovery Worker will deliver harm reduction education, facilitate group sessions, and offer individual screenings for at-risk clients. With a strong focus on client safety, you will supervise daily living activities and monitor client behaviors while adhering to Island Health's guidelines. Travel between sites may also be required, along with your own transportation methods.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide non-medical withdrawal management care




• Facilitate supportive education and group sessions
• Conduct individual screenings for substance misuse
• Supervise daily living activities of clients
• Document observations and client interactions

Requirements:
• Post-secondary certification in addiction counselling
• Minimum two years' related experience
• Valid BC Driver’s License for travel
• Certification in First Aid and CPR
• NVCI certificate within first three months
