Class 1 Driver (Based in Nanaimo)
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Class 1 Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a company-owned semi truck. Class 1 driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract and five years of experience required.

Competitive wages based on experience.

Responsibilities

Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to deliver to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations

Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and other critical systems

Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and freight manifests

Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during routes

Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or damage during transportation activities

Skills





Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record

Ability to troubleshoot vehicle issues efficiently

Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients

Demonstrated commitment to safety standards and regulatory compliance

Perform inspections as required

Pay:
$30.00 per hour

Work Location:
Preferably based in Nanaimo, with several different routes covering mid-Vancouver Island, including Duncan, Port Alberni, Parksville, Comox, Campbell River, and Nanaimo.
