Alteo is seeking a Functional Analyst for a permanent position based in Victoriaville.

*** Hybrid work arrangement: 3 days in the office; 2 days remote ***

You will contribute to the design, evolution, and optimization of application solutions and SaaS products. You will play a key role throughout the entire lifecycle of digital solutions, from understanding business and user needs to functional design, implementation, validation, deployment, and continuous product improvement. Working with clients, development teams, and various internal stakeholders, you will be responsible for translating business requirements into clear features, business rules, and functional specifications, while taking into account business objectives, user experience, and technological constraints. You will also participate in the evolution of existing applications, the optimization of processes, and the definition of new features aimed at improving the quality, performance, and value of the solutions offered. Finally, you will contribute to the integration of new technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, to accelerate and improve the analysis, design, prototyping, and documentation processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Meet with clients, users, and internal stakeholders to gather, analyze, clarify, and document their business and functional requirements;

Analyze existing processes, operational challenges, and market needs to identify opportunities for improvement;

Translate business requirements into clear, structured features, business rules, processes, and functional specifications for development teams;

Prepare the preliminary and functional analyses necessary for project design and implementation;

Participate in assessing the effort, timelines, and resources required to complete projects and implement change requests;

Collaborate on the preparation and review of service proposals, as required.

Participate in the design, development, enhancement, and optimization of web applications and SaaS solutions;

Contribute to the definition and prioritization of features and product enhancements based on user needs, business objectives, and technological constraints;

Participate in defining the functional architecture of solutions, organizing modules, structuring features, and defining interactions between different components;





Create mockups, wireframes, and prototypes for user-friendly, intuitive, and effective interfaces;

Define content organization, site maps, navigation principles, and data interfaces for solutions;

Analyze existing applications and identify opportunities for optimization, modernization, and continuous improvement;

Contribute, as needed, to website architecture as well as to the organization, writing, or adaptation of content;

Work closely with developers and other stakeholders throughout the development cycle;

Document business rules, processes, data flows, integrations, dependencies, anomalies, and change requests;

Answer functional questions from technical teams and clarify requirements throughout development;

Ensure that the implemented solutions comply with the stated needs, established specifications, and project objectives;

Contribute to resolving functional issues and finding solutions adapted to technical and operational constraints.

Develop test scenarios, use cases, and acceptance criteria to validate the developed features;

Conduct functional testing and perform final quality assurance on solutions before they go live;

Participate in the validation of solutions with clients and users;

Analyze bugs, user feedback, and change requests to propose fixes and improvements;

Contribute to the stability, quality, and continuous improvement of products.

Draft and maintain functional specifications, user guides, operational procedures, and other necessary documents;

Provide post-implementation support to clients and users, particularly regarding training and the use of solutions;

Contribute to the standardization of analysis methods, design processes, and documentation practices;

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing team efficiency and the quality of deliverables.





Use artificial intelligence tools when appropriate to accelerate requirements analysis, functional design, prototyping, and documentation;

Explore the possibilities offered by AI to improve work methods, automate certain tasks, and optimize processes;

Validate the relevance, accuracy, and quality of results generated by AI tools by exercising critical judgment;

Contribute to the adoption of effective work practices that integrate current technologies.

PROFILE:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent;

3–5+ years of experience in functional analysis, programming, web architecture, or digital solution design;

Relevant experience in the design, development, evolution, or maintenance of web applications, SaaS solutions, or digital products;

Good understanding of the software product lifecycle, from initial analysis through deployment to continuous improvement;

Excellent ability to understand business and user needs and translate them into clear, structured functional specifications;

Strong knowledge of web technologies, development tools, and functional analysis methods;

Ability to design and document processes, business rules, functional flows, and user interfaces;

Experience creating mockups, wireframes, or interface prototypes;

Strong understanding of application integrations, data flows, and interactions between the various components of a solution;

Knowledge of artificial intelligence tools applied to the analysis, design, prototyping, and documentation of technology projects;

Ability to effectively use AI as a work tool while rigorously validating the results obtained;

Knowledge of programming concepts is a plus;

Excellent writing and functional documentation skills;

Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and to explain complex concepts in layman’s terms;

Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills;

High level of rigor, attention to detail, and commitment to quality;

Independence, proactivity, and strong organizational skills;

Excellent analytical, synthesis, and problem-solving skills;

Excellent command of French, both spoken and written;
