Job OverviewRequirements
Candidates must be able to speak and comprehend English fluently
Must be bondable.
Must have a Food Handling Certificate
A City of Winnipeg Police Service current police record and vulnerable sector check is required prior to hire date.
Emergency First Aid is also mandatory within six months of employment
Candidates must be able to and continue to be available to work on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Complete ability to communicate with co-workers and residents in a professional manner.
A minimum of 3 years food handling/preparation experience

Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items in compliance with established recipes and standards




Assist in all areas of food preparation as needed- Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen setting
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operationsQualifications:
Previous experience working in a kitchen or food service environment
Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
Ability to work well in a team setting
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Passion for cooking and creating culinary delights
Understanding of food industry standards and regulations
Experience in a restaurant setting- Proficiency in meal preparation techniques
Familiarity with various cooking methods
