JOURNEYMAN/3RD-4TH YEAR APPRENTICE HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC (SOUTH SHOP) - (RDC)
The Journeyman/3rd/4th Year Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic is responsible for the mechanical workings of all vehicles.
Responsibilities:
Ensurethat Trican’s core value, “Safe equipment and operations” is the priorityin all activities
Operatea hoist and lift device to position machinery in a safe manner
Inspectand examine vehicles and equipment
Service,diagnose, repair, assemble, and maintain vehicles and perform otherroutine maintenance work
Keepup to date with industry standards and regulations




Providesguidance and instruction to less experienced operators, or apprenticemaintenance personnel
Operatea service truck to support field operations
Experience &Skills;:
3rd or 4th Year Apprentice or Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification is required
CVIPis considered an asset
ValidClass 1 license preferred; will consider Class 3 or 5
HeavyEquipment Technician will be an asset
Safedriving skills: driver’s abstract will be requested
Physicallyfit – heavy lifting required
Excellentcommunication skills, both written and verbal
