Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled JM Electrician to join our preservation team at Edmonton Net Zero Hydrogen Energy Complex, Air Products!

In this vital role, you will be responsible for preserving, inspecting, & protecting electrical equipment throughout storage and pre-commissioning to ensure equipment remains in valuable condition and ready for startup.

Duties
Perform routine preservation inspections of electrical equipment.
Maintain transformers, switchgear, motor control centers (MCCs), electrical panels, motors, and control cabinets.
Monitor space heaters, humidity levels, desiccants, and moisture protection systems.
Prevent corrosion, dust contamination, and moisture damage.
Maintain preservation checklists, inspection reports, and equipment logs.
Identify and report deficiencies, damage, and preservation issues.
Follow project specifications, manufacture recommendations, and site safety procedures.
Coordinate with construction, quality control, and commissioning teams.

Requirements
Proven experience in electrical equipment preservation within industrial construction and/or oil and gas projects.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools,



and electrical testing equipment.
Knowledge of electrical equipment storage and preservation requirements.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently.
Excellent safety awareness and adherence to electrical codes and regulations.
Ability to complete inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation.
Strong commitment to safety and quality.
Journeyperson electrician trade certificate
CSTS 2020
AWP / Fall Arrest

Work Workplace

4 x 10s schedule with overtime after 40 hours per week.

Pay: $53.22 per hour Expected hours: 48.0 per week
