ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibility for maintaining a safe work site
Support site safety by reinforcing and training on policies and objectives
Ensure organizational policies and safety philosophy are understood and adhered to
Stay abreast of current and revised legislation, industry trends and best Support the development of site specific Emergency Response Plans and Contractor Safety Management
Investigates accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning hazards in the workplace.
Ensure all health and safety reports are completed and documented
Carry out both scheduled and unscheduled health and safety and inspections
Collaborate with the Joint Health and Safety Committee
Maintain and enforce health & safety regulations, policies, practices and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS




Formal education and/or training in Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent experience
Recommended prior experience working in a similar role
Solid computer proficiency, specifically using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Office etc.)
Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
Willing to travel for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
