OCCUPATIONAL FIRST AID LEVEL 3 ATTENDANTNhwelmen Construction is currently seeking qualified Occupational First Aid Level 3 (OFA3) Attendant to join our team. The OFA 3 Attendant is responsible for delivering prompt and effective first aid to workers in office and supporting overall health and safety practices. This position plays a key role in ensuring compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations and company safety policies.What we Offer:$28 - $33 per hour, based on experienceBenefits planKey Responsibilities:Provide first aid and emergency care in accordance with OFA Level 3 training and WorkSafeBC guidelinesMaintain and regularly inspect first aid room, equipment (stretcher, AED, oxygen, etc.), and suppliesAccurately document all injuries, incidents, and treatments using approved forms (e.G., Form 7, incident reports)Assist in development and implementation of emergency response proceduresAct as a first responder during workplace emergencies, including site evacuationsCoordinate with supervisors, safety personnel, and external emergency services when necessaryMonitor and support workers recovering from injuries (under medical directive,



if applicable)Perform routine checks and restocking of first aid suppliesParticipate in site safety meetings, toolbox talks, and hazard assessmentsMaintain professionalism and confidentiality at all timesPerform other duties as required to support the Safety Advisor and management teamRequirements and QualificationsValid Occupational First Aid Level 3 certificate (WorkSafeBC recognized)Current CPR-C and AED certificationPhysically fit and able to lift, bend, and assist in moving injured individualsStrong communication skills (both verbal and written)Previous experience in industrial or construction environmentsWorking knowledge of WorkSafe regulations and reporting proceduresAdditional safety certifications (e.G., WHMIS, H2S Alive, CSTS) are an assetAbility to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in high-stress situationsComfortable working outdoors in all weather conditionsWillingness to work extended shifts or long hours on remote project sitesValid class 5 driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract and access to reliable transportationLocation:This position will be based out of the Kamloops / Thompson region of British Columbia.
