We are seeking a skilled General Machinist with experience in both manual and CNC machining to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge and can produce high-quality precision components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate manual and CNC machines (lathe, mill, drill)
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings - important
Proficiency in applied math
Machine parts to tight tolerances
Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
Maintain a clean and secure work environment
Assist with fabrication, assembly, and secondary operations
Meet production schedules and deadlines
Requirements
Proven experience with hands-on conventional machines such as lathe,
milling machine and surface grinder (manual and/or CNC)
Solid understanding of machining processes and materials
Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
Proficiency in applied math (feeds, speeds, tolerances, sizes)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Fabrication and forklift experience are assets
Compensation & Schedule
Pay: $25–$30 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Day shift: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Overtime available as needed
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
