Our Purpose is to Build and Strengthen Our Community
Culture
We are a second-generation family-owned, award-winning, professional home renovation and general contracting company, changing the lives and homes of families throughout Greater Victoria.
We are looking for self-motivated applicants with a desire to become part of our winning team. To be a successful applicant for a renovation career in Victoria, show us your strong work ethic and keen attention to detail. Tell us how you’ll solve problems when they come up and how you take responsibility for your projects. We want you to be proud of the work you do for homeowners throughout Victoria.
We work in homes, not job sites. We are guests in the homes of the families we work with, and it is our privilege to be there.
We’re proud of what we do, but we’re not arrogant about it. We know that many hearts and minds have to work together to bring a project from ‘that’s nice’ to ‘that’s amazing!’
If you are looking for long-term employment with a fun and dynamic crew,
please contact us and share your story.

We're always looking for apprentice carpenters who want to learn the trade the right way. At MAC Reno, you'll work alongside experienced lead carpenters on kitchen, whole-home, basement, and custom home projects across Greater Victoria, building real skills on real jobs while we support your apprenticeship through Camosun College.
This role is for someone who shows up ready, asks questions, double-checks their own work, and takes pride in doing it right the first time. We run organized job sites with transparent processes, a strong safety culture, and daily communication — so you'll always know what “done” looks like.
What you'll do
Work a full 40-hour week on scheduled projects, guided by daily site meetings with your lead carpenter
Follow our safety program, site procedures, and quality checklists (framing, demolition, and more)
Document progress with photos and daily logs in Buildertrend
Complete your carpentry apprenticeship and keep growing your skills on and off the tools
Meet regularly with your manager for honest, two-way feedback
Pay: $26–$34 per hour, based on experience and apprenticeship level
Think you'd be a good fit for the MAC team? We'd like to hear from you.
At MAC, we’ve built a fantastic team of professionals and we all strive for a culture where safety and fun can thrive.
The people who love working with us understand that a safe workplace can be a fun workplace. Whether it’s on the job site, the office, or in between, safety is everyone’s top priority. If you’d like to work in a place where you can have fun while playing safely, we want to hear from you.
Our Core Values
Our core values aren’t just pretty words on a sign in our office: they’re the behaviours, expectations, and yardsticks we measure ourselves — and the people we hire — by every project, every day.
Here are the values we strive to deliver consistently:
Together, everybody achieves more. We strive to be ideal team players and create an environment where everyone can perform at their best.
Seek first to understand. We are lifelong learners. Instead of jumping to conclusions, we ask questions and lean into the art form of discovery.
Integrity
We do the right thing. We give our best, claim ownership of our actions and mistakes, and problem-solve with tenacity.
C.A.R.E.
Create A Referable Experience. We cultivate empathy, invite connection, practice inclusivity, and treat everyone and everything respectfully.
