Responsibilities
Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients to support chefs and cooks
Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients and ensuring proper portioning for meal service
Maintain high standards of food handling, safety, and hygiene throughout all kitchen operations
Help with food service duties including serving dishes, clearing tables, and managing utensils
Follow established procedures for cleaning kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas to ensure a sanitary environment
Assist in organizing supplies and restocking ingredients to keep the kitchen well-equipped for daily operations
Support the team during busy meal times by efficiently managing multiple tasks with a positive attitude
Some supervision of children may be required.
Skills
Experience in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating familiarity with kitchen operations
Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations to ensure compliance
Ability to assist with meal preparation and cooking under supervision while maintaining quality standards
Robust understanding of serving techniques and customer service principles in a food industry setting
Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team and support kitchen staff
Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
Enthusiasm for learning recent skills related to food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
Pay: $23.50-$26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
