As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Rural Continuing Care, you will play an essential role in providing compassionate, resident-centered care within a team-oriented healthcare team. Working in a rural setting offers the chance to build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and colleagues while contributing to the health and well-being of the community.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing secure, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the organization's shared vision and values.





Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

As Required.

Recent Continuing Care experience 2 years. Experience in Long-Term Care, Supportive Living, gerontology, dementia care, and palliative care is an asset. Proficiency with electronic documentation systems, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team are preferred. Rural healthcare experience is considered an asset.
