Responsibilities
Prepare a variety of baked goods including artisan loafs, delicious sweets and savory treats with precision and consistency
Follow food safety standards and proper food handling procedures at all times
Assist in food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients, mixing batters, and assembling products
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery station, ensuring compliance with sanitation regulations
Package baked goods carefully for sale or delivery, ensuring freshness and presentation quality
Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and offering recommendations when needed
Requirements
Proven experience in baking, pastry arts, or a related food industry role; restaurant experience is a plus
Solid skills in cake decorating and food presentation techniques
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail
Familiarity with food preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment used in baking
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed for baking tasks
