Join Belong Ottawa as a Delivery Driver, safely transporting essential supplies and donations across our community programs in downtown Ottawa. Ensure timely deliveries while maintaining our delivery van and supporting vital program operations.
As a key part of our team, the Driver reports to the Kitchen Services Supervisor. This role requires experience in operating commercial vehicles in urban settings, great organizational skills, and effective communication. You will safely handle and deliver food and supplies between our three locations—Centre 454, The Well, and St. Luke’s Table—ensuring all donations are sorted and stored correctly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Transport food and supplies between Belong locations
• Load and unload goods safely and efficiently
• Maintain accurate logs and communicate delivery details
• Inspect and ensure the delivery van is secure and clean
• Assist with waste management and program support as needed
Requirements:
• Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license
• Experience in urban driving and handling supplies
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Effective communication with diverse groups
• Minimum 6 months working with vulnerable populations
