1.0 FTE Grade 7/8 Math/Science and Explorations Teacher Eagle River Secondary This is a temporary assignment effective November 9, 2026 to June 30, 2027 or to return of teacher to full contractual whichever comes first.
This assignment consists of teaching Core Grade 7/8 Math/Science, PE 9-12, Leadership and Careers 8 and an elective to be determined.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Arts or Education (Secondary emphasis preferred);
Valid BC teaching certificate and current membership in the Teacher Regulation Branch.
Teachers applying should possess the following attributes:
academic credentials and/or experience in teaching grade 7/8;
a working knowledge of the current curriculum for grade 7/8;
demonstrated successful experience teaching at the Middle/Secondary level;




commitment to fostering a collaborative and cooperative working environment;
committed to stimulating student interest and confidence in learning;
evidence of ability to motivate secondary students;
demonstrated use of a variety of instructional and assessment strategies;
excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment with other staff members;
commitment to involving parents in the learning of their children.
