Advance cardiovascular research as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Bioinformatics at the Montreal Heart Institute. Leverage computational genomics to explore cardiac regulation and function.
The Cardiac Regulatory Genomics Lab, part of the University of Montreal's Faculty of Medicine, seeks a postdoctoral fellow to integrate bioinformatics with experimental studies. You'll analyze noncoding DNA complexities, including RNAs and chromatin architecture, to uncover mechanisms underlying cardiovascular diseases like hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze transcriptomic and epigenomic datasets
• Develop reproducible analysis workflows for regulatory elements
• Work with experimental researchers on publications
• Support trainee development through project collaboration
• Prioritize candidate variants for validation experiments
Requirements:
• PhD in bioinformatics or related field
• Proficient in R and/or Python with Linux experience
• Strong background in high-throughput sequencing data analysis
• Interest in regulatory genomics and cooperative research
• Experience with multiomics integration is a plus
Drive groundbreaking discoveries in cardiovascular biology at the Montreal Heart Institute.
