Role Description This full-time Catering Cook role is an on-site position based in Calgary, AB.

The Catering

Cook prepares and cooks menu items for events, ensuring consistent quality, taste, and presentation according to company standards and event specifications. Daily tasks include food preparation, cooking in bulk quantities, portioning, plating, and assisting with buffet or plated service setups as required. The role involves following food safety and sanitation guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and supporting inventory management by properly storing ingredients and supplies.

Cook collaborates with chefs, event staff, and management to support smooth event execution, meets time-sensitive deadlines, and adapts to changing event needs.

Qualifications

- Robust culinary skills, including experience with bulk cooking, food preparation, and plating for catering or restaurant environments.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients.
- Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced setting, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight timelines for events.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with kitchen and event staff.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
- Previous experience in catering, banquet, or high-volume kitchen operations is an asset.
- Formal culinary training, apprenticeship, or relevant certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Reliable transportation to in office locations in Calgary, AB, and a strong commitment to punctuality and professionalism.
