Qualifications:
Bachelor of Education / Masters of Education
OCT Membership in good standing
RECE qualification an asset
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience (Primary, grades 1-3 is preferred)

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Strong knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum, PYP, development of program plans and lesson delivery
Strengths in differentiated learning strategies




Understands and has knowledge of working within private school sector
An understanding of boys’ learning needs.
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
Superior oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated organization and analytical skills
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
An enthusiastic work ethic, with a commitment to full participation in the life of the school
Working knowledge and classroom experience (Primary grades, specifically grades 1-3) with SMART board would be an asset
Utilizing a variety of teaching mediums to accommodate diverse learning abilities.

Responsibilities & Performance Requirements
Develop a strong rapport with students and families
Develop and deliver an enriched & inquiry-based program that meets the needs of all students in the class
Assess and develop an Individual Program for each student that keys into a student’s interests, strengths and areas for to work on
Communicate regularly with families/specialists
Liaise with Principal/Curriculum Coordinator
Organize and lead extra-curricular activities
