Position: Kitchen Helper

Wage: $18.25 per hour, 40 hours per week

Work Location: 667 Island Hwy East, Unit 3, Parksville, British Columbia V9P 1T6
Key Responsibilities Wash, peel, cut and prepare vegetables and fruits, other ingredients used in preparing burritos, tacos, quesadillas and bowls.
Assist cooks and kitchen staff with basic food preparation and other routine kitchen tasks.
Receive, unpack and store food supplies and ingredients in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and designated storage areas.
Clean and sanitize kitchen work surfaces, preparation tables, cupboards, appliances, equipment and food storage areas.
Remove kitchen garbage and waste, clean garbage containers and maintain cleanliness in kitchen area.
Sweep, mop and clean kitchen floors to maintain a clean and sanitary working environment.
Follow food safety, sanitation,



hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.
Employment Requirements No prior work experience is required; training will be provided.
No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment and under pressure.
Ability to remain standing for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Availability to work flexible shifts, including daytime, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
Ability to work in a hot and physically demanding kitchen workplace.
