Love people? Love pets? Know your way around a fish tank? At Blue Barn, we believe great pet stores are about helping people give their pets the best life possible—and making every customer feel welcome while they’re here.
We’re a locally owned, community-minded pet store looking for an experienced aquarist who is also an excellent customer service person. Someone who can talk fish and water chemistry one minute, help a recent pet parent choose the right food the next, and ring through a purchase with a smile.
If you’re the person your friends call when their aquarium has cloudy water, algae problems, or a fish that isn’t looking quite right—we’d love to meet you!

Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as stocking and aquarium maintenance
Experience with other pets is a bonus! Knowledge of dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, small animals or farm animals is always welcome. Why Blue Barn? We’re a locally owned business—not a big chain—and we care about our customers, our communities and our team.
We offer:
Extended health benefits
Free monthly pet food
Training and opportunities to learn
Opportunities for advancement
A supportive team of people who genuinely love pets
Ready to Join Us? If you’re an experienced aquarist who also knows what great customer service looks like, we want to hear from you.
